In the perpendicular meet of the two mountain ranges that border the southwestern portion of the Order resides this majestic wonder that is the Rhemasis waterfall. One that flows a river, minorly parting Arelith in two. It leads to Eldralece and expands beyond. Similar to the Marketplace, the Cascades serve as a resort for meditation and artisanry. A perfect spot for a picnic or painting.

Light as a feather, she floated through a blur of dark and light. A few times, she narrowly missed a turn. She briefly told herself not to get too overly excited or she might go through a wrong path. Once or twice, there were forces who tried to pull her towards them, but her own force was able to repel them. She would need to increase her wards again the next time. Finally, she felt that she was close. The monochromatic space around her gradually dissipated to reveal lively hues of greens, browns, white and blue. In a few milliseconds, the hues finally took shape. Her sight rested upon a beautiful garden and a 2-storey white, Victorian house, aged, with a few loose shingles on the roof and wall. On the porch, there was an old woman who rocked back and forth on a chair, slowly knitting an unfinished sweater. The front door opened and out walked an old man. His hair was almost bald, with the few remaining hairs which were all white. He put on his straw hat after taking a quick look at the woman and smiling. Despite his age, he looked strong and walked upright. He didn’t even use a cane. Dominii smiled. She was happy to see her parents alive and well.

At this moment, Dominii was standing right in the old couple’s garden. But she knew they couldn’t see her. She looked up at the house where she was born and spent her first few years of life, feeling nostalgic. She watched her parents longingly, wishing somehow for a hug, a kiss from her parents. Moments passed and a red-haired woman about Dominii’s age walked out of the door bringing a tray with juice and food, followed by a little girl and boy—her children. The woman set the tray down on a table. The little girl immediately ran to the old woman, probably asking about the sweater. This red-haired woman was Dominii’s adopted sister. Her parents could no longer bear a child when Dominii left, so to bear the loneliness, they adopted. Dominii did not feel resentment about this, instead she was happy that someone would be there to take care of her parents, when she couldn’t. It was for the best.

Suddenly, Dominii felt eyes watching her. She looked, and met the eyes of the quiet little boy who was still standing behind his mother. She knew this child had a gift; he could often sense her presence when she visited. Dominii smiled at him and put a finger on her lips. The boy smiled back.

“Mistress..” a familiar voice called. She knew it was time to go. Taking one last look at the happy family in front of her, she then whispered blessings on the garden before leaping back into the monochromatic world of blurry lights and darkness.

She slowly opened her eyes and it reflexively closed back due to the brightness. Slim hands rose to protect her eyes from the light, as she straightened her back on the trunk of the tree she was leaning against. “Are you alright, mistress?” Kyla’s silky voice reverberated through her head. In response, she smiled at the concerned tiger while rubbing the spot behind her ear. It was then that she noticed her cheek was wet with a few tears. She now understood Kyla’s concern. Laughing, she then wiped the tears away before stretching against the tree behind her.

The sky was clear and blue; the grass danced gracefully with the wind. The witch could hear the leaves of trees rustling above her as she took a few moments of rest. Amethyst optics scanned the horizon before her, relishing the view, forgetting the pain she felt. She gathered strength from the essence of the tree she was leaning upon, to replenish what she lost when she traveled through the cosmos to see her parents.

Slender digits rose to land on the head of the tiger who lay beside her; it's tail flicking back and forth. "You overstressed yourself again, Mistress." came the tiger's voice once again, communicated directly inside her head.

"I know, I did. I'm sorry. Thank you for pulling me back." The witched sighed, then smiled at the tiger. "Let's go back." she instructed, as she stood.

The sabertooth rose as well, back tilted a little so the human may easily climb. In moments, the pair were airborne, headed towards the city.
