Here is the retreat for all within the Order. It is a five story edifice with bar and lounge on the first. Study, library, pool, and training arena on the second. The third has a relaxation ambiance with a spa, and entertainment center. The fourth and fifth serve as lodge rooms for those who travel.

Running a hand through his hair he sighed and got up, heading back out to the tavern for a real meal. Passing into the low-lit bar area he found himself in an entirely different world than the sober, calm place he had come into earlier. It was busier and louder and had a dual-natured personality. Some of the patrons' raucously yelled over each other about the greatness of the man whom they had seen and heard earlier, and others sat in their drink, continuing to grumble about personal problems that only they had control over. Nodding to the bartender and a few of the other patrons, Nicholas stepped into the main restaurant area to get his dinner. Placing an order at the main desk he took a seat near the doorway to the bar area, and kept an ear out. Rumors and conversations could produce interesting results in the study of current events.

*Evan entered the tavern and looked around with every step that he took... He went over to a stool and sat at the bar... He ordered a drink as his hand ran across the top of the bar, as if he was remembering a precious memory... He took his drink and sipped it slowly as he searched the room with his eyes... He let out a sigh as he whispered...*

    It's good to be back...

*Evan then put up one of his feet on a bar stool and took out his harmonica... As he pulled the precious metal to his lips, he prepared a song in his head... He then blew into the harmonica and it let out a majestic sound... Evan then used his powers to gently circle the air in the room, as he played a happy tune...*

*The sweet smell of the smoldering fire beguiled the Arcane to bypass the bar and find asylum on the armchair overlooking the dying flames. After a few reverent moments, the dhampir called over the barmaid and ordered the taverns best wine. He had often considered creating his own yet he had never found the time. Though it would be nice to give something back to Arelith that it could enjoy on a daily basis. Perhaps even sell if for gold to put back into the public works or to add a new education wing onto Mont Crisa's as he, himself, had no need for money. He let out a deep sigh of relief as it had been a long while since he could allow his mind to contemplate such trivial matters. Being as such, Premesi could not contain the small grin that rose across his lips.*

Inconspicously, the doors of the tavern would open slightly, by a hand pressed against their center in soft push, as firebrick ocules aimed through the papers held in the other hand. The estelle of darkness that trailed the being crept into the vicinity as if a battalion escorting the Empyreal.

Shimmering revolution of gemstones beneath the curtains of an obsidian robe's temple gave a flanking gaze that scanned the brief area during the entry. A few fighters were caught and counted in notation.

Obsidian heeled greaves switched into a horizontal direction that soundlessly skidded the wooden surface of the floor. In the following note of this mastered piece, a pressing slam pressed the parchments against the centered table. An unoccupied mantle, two chairs, two menus, one candle.

"There has been a shift recently, between the contracts imparchmented by our fellow Marksmen. Their successes and their failures were reported. Mark Hunts have been completed and felled, while other beasts run amuk throughout the mountain ranges and valleys of our beautiful planet. Doomed creatures, that have been solely created to destroy. There are three Mark Hunt contracts before me." exhaled the majestic crystalline breath from four finely sharpened incisors, whoms painting created a stoic demeanor, "Which one of you is up for the task."

*The stoic tone of a familiar voice broke the menial thought of the Vice Magistrate. He turned to spot the Grand Magistrate across the tavern floor.* "Well, brother, your presence is most unexpected yet much welcomed! Is this the passing of the Mark torch, so to speak?" *He released a hearty chuckle.* "Much like when I arrived to the Order so long ago!"

Merry chatter and rumormongering built an aura of coziness within the Serene Sunset Tavern, his haven for quite some time. Pushing the door, he took almost silent steps to reach the bar counter. 'Is it just me or there is something going on here; like some festival or party? Tch. I've never been in this tavern with an insane amount of people...'

Sakuraba made a mock salute with his right hand's index and middle fingers, a ghost of a grin stretching his lips. "Yo," he greeted the Nihonjin tender who had served him since his stay. The young male seemed to be expecting him. He raised an eyebrow in recognition and approached the crimson raven, leaning on the counter. "The usual."

"Tekka and unagi nigirizushi, kani salad, warm sake, and vanilla liqueur, as always." The tender fetched his apron from the nearby table and washed his hands in the sink. "Geez, you might die of malnutrition if I hadn't introduced the salad after your second week here."

"Hai. Don't remind me of that scene ever again, shrimp," Sakuraba scoffed, getting interested with the valve of a draft liquor tap just by his right. The noise does not appear to irritate him, which struck him weird. Oh. And include his rather liking of shiny things, say, that glittering tap lever. He might be borderline crazy.

A mock-hurt pout and a semi-caustic reply came flying. "Hey, I've got a name! It's Narumi Kazuma! And just because I'm younger than you means I'm scrawny," he exclaimed as he was preparing the raven's meal. Deft knife movements and intricate rice molding techniques marked this young man's expertise. He stopped for a while and flexed his biceps. "I'm more buff compared to you, Sakuraba-san, so stop whining."

"I'm not whining!" Sakuraba said in defiance, a little high-pitched to his liking.

Kazu chuckled, returning to his work. "You already are." The tuna and smoked eel rolls were done. Crabstick salad came next. "How's work? Got a mark?" the blue-haired sushi chef-in-training queried. Knowing it would take him a little more time to prepare for the other course, he served a glass of vanilla liqueur to the man.

"No. I haven't got one yet. Aside from the job given by Magistress Dominii-dono, I've got all the time in the world to wait for my Mark, Kazu-dono." Idle time increased his nicotine craving, making him fish his jacket pocket for a stick. As soon as he put it between his lips, Kazu immediately lit it and set an ashtray in front of him before returning to his dish.

A nod came as a reply and the next few minutes submerged in pleasant silence, vanilla wisps drifting around.

A few sips and drags later, Sakuraba let his half-finished stick on a tray's notch, noticing that the bluenette added his finishing touches to the salad.

"Yosh. Tuna and eel hand rolls, crabstick salad, warm sake and vanilla liqueur later after the meal," Kazu grinned as he served the raven's order. "Anything else? Maybe," he trailed off, leaning at the counter and stole the raven's cancer stick, taking a painstakingly slow drag and stared blankly at his customer, speaking in a suave manner, "...me?"

"...eh?" the cherry raven managed to blurt out with the tiniest bit of composure he held on to. 'Am I seeing things now? No. Kazu-dono did not just do that.' He paled and his face suddenly turned crimson, his hair its new rival.

"THAT'S PRICELESS!" Kazu exclaimed, chuckling while his free left hand covered his mouth. "I always thought that your twin was the only one who can squeeze that reaction out from you." Before the raven could retaliate, the tender went closer to the still dazed Sakuraba and stumped the cancer stick to its ash graveyard. "I was just messing around," he confirmed, eyes crinkling in delight. It did not last long though. He became a little serious, a little concerned. "Joking aside, smoking is bad for you. Try to cut, ne, Saku-chan? Oh. Got to get back to work." With the same mock salute, Kazu left with a clipped "Later." while licking his lips and muttering something that sounded like "Hmmm. That's sweet.", aiming to serve the new customer who just walked in the tavern.

"Tch. Is it 'Hit On Sakuraba Day'?" Sakuraba grumbled, groaning airily while his two hands got busy splitting his chopsticks, mind ranting about his long day. A certain phrase halted his ministrations.

"...Saku...chan? Where the hell did that come from?!"

It was a long day indeed.

His ears caught the wind of the conversation. "...Marks?" Sakuraba temporarily stopped ravishing his meal and listened in. "Three Mark Hunts? I wonder if I could get one..."

He swiveled the bar stool around, his back facing the counter, looking at the Grand Magistrate blankly. To his surprise (It was a good thing that his face was not betraying him to show his emotions when he wanted to, unless you push the right buttons...), the Vice Magistrate was present as well.

"This might be serious then," Sakuraba mumbled to himself as he lit a stick to relieve some tension.

"There were certain pillars, shaken in the passing of stories and rumors between alleyways betwixt the Marketplace shops. Such words forming sentences that included faltering interest in the nation." Crimson fed optics met with the enriched Sapphires of his direct and only blood brethren, "These said columns are in need of a mason's gifting aid. Perhaps of granite and sandstone, or a brick as thick as the very contracts laid upon this table."

His sight remained locked upon the High Ranger momentarily, before nip of ear would twitch beneath a cloaking darkness of the Empyreal's esoteric drobe. Lids and lashes would push the entrancing gaze down towards the lettering on the parchments, each layer of sheet under the fine press of one onyx plated digit. His maw would twist to form words, as if a conversation between himself and the curious male nearby was already in motion, "Three Mark Hunts,... Phoenix, The Infernal Avion,... and Eterna, the Seven Bladed Swordsman... the third is to be discussed upon mention of interest by offered services of given Marksman."

His head, nor his torso, turned to face the glancing male behind him at the far off table. But the art in which the volume against the walls of the tavern would glide and form, would seem to direct solely to his ears. Blink of jeweled visage would strip the ambient of the vivid light as he awaited a reply.

About three men and two women closed the distance between their area of rest, and the epicenter that was the demon. All soldiers. All Marksmen.

"Alone, or in a group." Domitrix's tone would inquire, as if he had already anticipated the curious male to have accepted his offer, although not a single answer was given.

*As the maid returned with a glass of a deep red Premesi rose to greet her. After receiving his drink, he turned his full attention to his brother, understanding full well the gravity behind the Empyreals words. He brought the glass under his nose and took in the rich aroma from within before giving it a cyclonic spin.* "Society is no place for erosion. It is about time to put mortar and blade to the weakened structures."

*He took a sip of the full bodied wine while scanning the faces of the tavern patrons who were still in shock of the sudden arrival of the Grand Magistrate. Ruby-rimmed sapphires came to rest on the firebrick embers of the demon, a positive meeting of fire and water.* "However, no matter the fatigue within the pillars of the nation, the foundation remains flawless and fully reinforced. Yet I will see to it that our masons get to work promptly because a storm is brewing in the South."

The Grand Magistrate's words piqued the raven's interest. "Another Mark Hunt, eh?" Knowing that he needed to decide quickly, asking Charon would perhaps be the easiest way, but to shoot his own neck with a gun to summon him, that would certainly cause a commotion in the tavern. With arms crossed, cigarette still between his lips, Sakuraba sent an interested look at the Grand Magistrate.

"If you would not mind, may I take the Mark, Grand Magistrate-" Sakuraba uttered with confidence, although uncertainty tainted his response near the end. "...ah, -dono?" Apparently, his Nihon descent was evident. The obvious scratching of raven locks marked the male's uneasiness. A drag of smoke minimized the man's tension, sending wisp after wisp of pristine white, vanilla-tinged clouds. Mismatched orbs hid his emotion; hope glimmering behind their blank look.

An eyebrow raised slightly towards the High Ranger's mention of a 'storm brewing'. The intake of such information enabled purse of outward lip in concern, before taking the top layer of parchment and turning around to face the replying male.

The idea was not to give the contract to just anyone, so a moment of study was spared in grace. Firebricks carefully analyzed the male, focusing a quick medincant of prespectives, in relying sheerly upon a soldier's gut instinct. With enough seconds awarded to the demon, the harmonic pace of the twin onyx heeled greaves carved their way towards the sitting person of address. The rest of the papers were left at the initial table, with the exemption of the one in the grip of his matching plated gauntlets.

"Phoenix." was the sole word that escaped in detail from Empyreal's lips, ones that seemed to have been cleansed of any burden of emotion. It was the name written into the parchment, as the header above the entire body that was the contract. The paper included the location, the petitioner, the reward, and the crimes of the beast. Along with any tips of information retrieved by either locals, or observed by proffessional hunters and Marksmen alike.

Wrist canted forward, allowing the fine papyrus leaf to fall in bend before the man, in simultaneous descent of crimson ocules that swirled a fine revolution in their casings, dancing the flames through an omen of a visage, in direct contact with the eyes of his own, "Sore wa kekkōdesu. Anata wa watashi no Domitrix o yobidasu shite kudasai ni." parted the four incisors in speech, before the very face attempted to curve a seldom smile at the end of the demon's maw.

*After feeling the gravity between the brothers bound by blood shift, Premesi's eyes remained fixated on the demon while he awarded a new mark to one that seemed both capable and very willing to partake in such an endeavor. Behind heavy brow, ruby seemed to encroach on the deep blue hues within his iris'.
The Arcane waited for Domitrix to conclude his magisterial duties, taking the time to further enjoy the immaculate flavor held within his glass, before announcing a little executive business of his own.* "Brother, I have some information that I must share with you when we have the moment to adjourn to more private quarters. I have much to share via my emissary and the fingers within ranks of our dear Chancellor."

"Ah... Sumimasen. Boku wa Sakuraba Ryuichiro de arimasu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu," the male spoke in response, stepping away from his seat and pacing towards the Order's leader, introducing himself in a casual tone despite his formal choice of words. Fluent Nihon flowed out of the Grand Magistrate's lips, much to his 'hidden' surprise and amusement. A lower than usual bow marked his respect for the Grand Magistrate, and soon after, Sakuraba took a drag of smoke he almost forgot he had.

"I'm amazed you speak Nihon well, Grand Magistrate-dono. Oh, by the way, I appreciate your generosity for providing me a Mark to hunt," he said with a very small grin. He crossed his arms and gazed at the Vice Magistrate, raising a brow in understanding. "I believe that I am taking your time for more important things. Where would I go to get the details for my Mark?" he queried calmly, eyes locked at the leader's intimidating presence. An unnerving situation indeed, having a conversation with the Grand Magistrate in person, all the more inside the Serene Sunset Tavern.

In returning level of height, a second bow of reply was given by the Empyreal, "The pleasure is mine." words would join in the fray simultaneous to the bow, "Nihon was a language seldom spoken by my people, a long, long time past. In the turn of multiple milleniums, my honor, my pride, and scorning hatred from others has never allowed me forgetfulness of my birthright. Deep in the Northeastern lands of the Orient. The lifeless ranges of Cyndoril, where the first drops of blood and tears were shed by my vessel. And yet, the story behind that land holds a macabre beauty. One prized by the jesters of hellion origin." the beginning of the speech commenced after his rise, when their eyes would meet, "The Magistrates and myself will be joining you on this Mark Hunt. It would be otherwise of scattered staff, but the Hunts we embark upon together are of deeper, higher priorities."

A lean from the plated onyx bodice of the demon, shifting his weight above the pillar of his right leg, was embraced before further sentencing, "Perhaps, we may speak more at a later time, over a bowl of Sake with my brother. I assume you have noticed the populace of the nation. The majority derive from the countries along the line that divides our Western and Eastern hemispheres. Very few come from that far off... And even so, fewer with the notion to speak with 'de amirasu'. That is a reply of a praise depicting its beyond of formalities. Perhaps of a mind that thinks beyond that of it as well. In hopes of such a minds prowess- some would render my insanity as opaque as the full tint of a blackened glass. But I place the mind and heart as the sanctums of most import in the midst of the battlefields."

Turning his head alone, to catch a glimpse of his Brother's words in his lowered peripheral, Domitrix then faced Sakuraba a last time, "I must attend to further preparations before we embark. You will know when the Hunt will begin. The roars of genesis will be heard from the airships at the Sky Docks. You will travel with us. Until then, I'd beckon for the surrender of a good meal and sleep, I have matters to take care of. If you will excuse me." a second bow after the words was given, before his torso mimicked his visage, approaching the Magistrate of Arcane.

"Lord Premesi, let us retire to the Shadow Magistrate to speak more of this." would trail the words along a firmly outstretched arm, open palm inviting direction to the doorway. Two knights approached the desk and retrieved the Mark Hunt contracts and followed soon after.

*Gruff smile pulled at Premesi and hie eyes flashed back to their normal piercing sapphire with fiery halo. The dhampir graciously tilted his head down in respect of the Lords beckoning and he moved toward the exit. On the way, he would stop in front of the newly imparchmented marksman and offered a bow.* "Congratulations, my friend! I cannot wait to join you on the mark. It seems too long that affairs of the state have kept me behind a desk, albeit a beautiful desk. My, how much I am ready to trade quill for quiver! Less pain on the wrists." *He let out a burst of laughter.* "And besides... I could use a vacation. I do believe the cooks here are trying to fatten me up so that I can no longer move!"

*Bringing fist over his heart, the Vice-magistrate gave humble salute, before turning back to the Empyreal. He quickly drained the remnants of his glass and set in on the nearest table at his port side. "Excuse me, brother. I will keep you waiting no longer." *With smile still on his face he followed the Shadow Magistrates men.*

Mismatched orbs followed the high ranking men of the Order. Disbelief etched his features, then smoothed by relief.

"I'm quite surprised. My land is not really that popular; it's a bit shocking that your Highness knew about the Northeastern part of the Orient, not to mention the history behind it. I must say I'm pretty impressed," he started, hoping that his fried nerves would soon be okay. "It is an honor to be invited by the Grand Magistrate to sit together with the Vice Magistrate over this man's choice of liquor. I am looking forward to the day it shall commence," said the raven, calm composure regained. Dainty, almost feminine movements traced a trail of smoke as the raven indulged in a drag of his burning tobacco. "The Sky Docks? Got it. As soon as I get the 'go' signal, I'm rushing there."

Jovial laughter emanated from the Vice Magistrate. An amused gaze landed on the chuckling man. "You're actually looking pretty good, Vice Magistrate-dono; unlike me. It seems that I'm pretty late in reaching adolescence." A mere scratching of his head marked the raven's embarrassment, him hoping that it would not be that obvious. "Oh, vacation, you say? I actually felt that I'm in a rut for an awfully long time. A bit of field work sounds really good as of the moment."

Regal words and notions of something important to be discussed occupied the sibling's conversation. As the two high-ranked men gave their respective goodbyes, Sakuraba bowed in response and watched them head out. A sigh of relief passed out of his lips, together with the air he did not know he was holding.

Footsteps blended with the tavern noise when the raven paced towards his seat at the bar counter. Eyes closed, Sakuraba rustled to his seat, popping a few joints of his neck. 'Yosh. Now I can return to...'

Onyx and ruby hues widened at the sight of Kazu, the other's forest green eyes fixed on his. His gaping mouth presented a chance for the Nihon tender to stuff it with sushi. "O-me-de-tou." A warm hand ruffled his spikes, Kazu beaming as if he was patting a mutt's head for a job well done.

    "Tch... You-"

"Nu-ugh, Saku-chan. Mind your manners. No talking when your mouth is full." A sweat drop ran along the raven's temple. Seriously, Charon was obnoxious at times, but this was exponential in magnitude. Swallowing down the intruder, Sakuraba opened his mouth to speak.

"May I know your age, shounen?"

    "Eighteen, Saku-chan."

"...you do know that I'm older than you, right?"

The young lad returned to his bar duties. "Very much. Twenty-three. You don't look that old though."

    "...patronizing your elders, much?"

A chuckle echoed in the bar area. "Yeah, you could say that," Kazu stifled a full-blown laughfest, squeaking of cloth against glass permeating the air between them. The young tender always liked making lead crystal hold its reputation. "It's just fun talking to you when you're all worked up, I guess. First time I see your composure flush down the drain, without your pseudo-twin around."

The raven sighed, blushing faintly, thinking if he would consider it as a compliment or a joke. "I'd rather not talk about that in case this conversation might get, ugh, somewhere."

    "Touché."

*Evan had stopped playing his harmonica as his ears perked... His eyes lifted and had focused on the ominous looking individual on the opposite side of the room... He heard him say something about a Mark Hunt… Evan then began to remember his first mark… He remembered his journey through the underground tunnels and the obstacles he had faced and overcame… As his mind was wandering through the memories of his encounters with the treacherous vermin called, “Gneuyet,” his eyes watched the mysterious man leave the tavern… Then he saw two knights snatch up the contracts for the Mark Hunts… He lifted his hand and grabbed his glass, then placed it to his lips… As he took a nice warm drink of his nicely aged whisky, his mind became clearer upon his decision of his next actions… Evan stopped his powers from circling the air in the room and rose to his feet… He gently placed his glass from which he had taken it and began to dust himself off and straighten his clothes… He walked over to the area from which the dark individual was standing and spoke to himself with a sense of grace, confidence and ambition…*

I think it’s time to get my hands dirty again…

*With a grin, Evan looked at the door…*

Looks like I need to meet up with tall, dark, and handsome about a new hobby…

A few words piqued the interest of the crimson raven, suddenly not minding the young tender's apparent hobby of ticking him off. "Hmmm. Someone's aspiring for a Mark, eh?" he muttered to himself. Sakuraba twisted a little to glance at the man who was playing the harmonica earlier, which reminded him of a certain group of musicians back home. The lone, exposed onyx orb scanned the man who confidently asked the Grand Magistrate to offer him a slot for the Mark Hunt. "Things will get interesting from now on, I believe."

"Ne, Saku-chan," Kazu spoke absent-mindedly, "he participated in the Gneuyet Mark Hunt, na? I wish I could join the Hunts as well, but a lot of work is needed here." The young man hung the goblet he had been polishing at the overhead glassware holder. Sakuraba raised a groomed eyebrow at the barkeep's statement.

"You're a Marksman as well?" he queried, still looking at the man who was playing earlier, then turned around to face Kazu.

"You could say so," he trailed off, sporting a goofy grin. "The real-life drama on the field just didn't suit my taste. Fixing dinner and cocktails is my thing, so I ended up here." Kazu cracked a few knuckles and raised his shirt to show an intricately carved sheaths of paired blades no longer than half his arms. "These babies served me well during those days." A tap of affection reached the blades' handle and Kazu's eyes reflected nostalgia, a wayward look gracing his boyish features. It quickly faded and a perverted smirk emerged. "I think I'll have a good time when we are together in a Hunt." Hiding the blades, he fished his pocket for a tobacco stick and lit it, leaning against the wine rack while blowing a stream of white smoke.

"How can you be so sure?"

"I just felt like it. Well, too bad I'm stuck here attending to your Nihon palate."

    "..."

    "Cat got your tongue, Saku-chan?"

Growling in irritation, he took a drag of smoke and tightly bit the filter of his cigarette. "That's Sakuraba for you."

"Whatever... Hey, you look constipated." The young male fought the urge to laugh but failed miserably, bubbles of chuckles reverberating at the bar area.

"You really like making fun of me, don't you?"

    "Yeah."

    "Go to hell."

    "Love ya too, Saku-chan."

Coughing fits of a certain raven replaced the young tender's fading laughter as the latter attended to another customer.

Another stick burned and the raven resumed to finish his meal. An almost imperceptible burp passed through his lips; he would not want the brat to notice that he liked the meal, which in turn would be cannon fodder to the tender's barrage of teasing. "Gouchisouzama." Deft fingers set the pair of chopsticks on its rest, closing his eyes to ascertain his stomach's level of satiety. 'Ah. That sure hits the spot,' he sighed mentally; walking around or snoozing sounds like a good idea as of the moment.

"Oh. That's great," Kazu grinned, coming back to attend to his regular. In a flash, the eating paraphernalia vanished, only to be replaced by a swirly white and green cocktail served in a frozen martini glass. Knowing that the male would retort, he cut him off before he could protest. "Grasshopper. Don't worry, it's on me."

"Of course, I know what it is," Sakuraba said coolly, fetching another tobacco stick from his shirt pocket. The tender lit it, as usual. "I was just expecting that you'll say 'It's on the house' or it's something complimentary." White smoke streams hung around the Deathbringer. He took a drag and blew, closed his eyes, his index and thumb raising the crystal glass to his mouth. A sip sent a stifled moan of appreciation vibrating in the man's throat. Créme de menthé and créme de cacao surely do mix well.

Kazu's jolly persona emanated, and if one would look closer, sparkles might be seen all around him. "Well, consider it a treat for allowing me to have fun-"

"...at my expense?" Sakuraba finished the other male's sentence. Cracking his eye open, he saw the congenial mood of his tender. A vein on his temple threatened to pop any moment though.

"That's right! Gee, you're really quite perceptive, aren't cha, Saku-chan?" In all honesty, this man can go from sultry to sugary in a split-second.

"I'm going out for a walk," the raven announced. Crystal met a pair of soft lips, finishing the swirly concoction of chocolate, mint and alcohol in rugged elegance, followed by a soft clink of fine glass meeting a polished bar counter. "Please tell me if Dominii-dono would have any other requests. Thanks for the meal. Ittekimasu." The man stood confidently and checked his silver Evoker inside his overcoat. Clacks of leather loafers headed towards the exit.

"Aww. Leaving so soon?" Kazu muttered to the back of the retreating Marksman in a mock-hurt tone. "Oh, well. You'll be back home in no time. Itterashai, Saku-chan!" he said cockily, as a regular teenage boy would.

He let the nickname slide off for once and allowed himself to smile a bit.

'Ittekimasu? Itterashai, eh?' the raven thought, raising the cigarette to his lips and sucking a puff of nicotine-rich smoke. For a while, the alien city where the Order resides, even without his family, colleagues and best friend, certainly felt just a little like home.

*Pleasant sapphire hues appeared in the doorway as the Arcane Lord arrived at the tavern with a heavy load of parchments under one arm. Many hours of research and planning had yielded the final contract that was ready to be shared with the chosen marksman. After taking a moment to look over the faces within the room, he noted that the one he was seeking was not present and he walked up to the bar and hailed the tender.*

"Hello sir! I have need to contact the marksman by the name of Evan. This message is of very high importance and time is very limited. Should you, or any of the maids see him, please have him come to the Arcane Hall immediately."

*After the two exchanged bows, the dhampir turned back to the door and set his heading for Elixis. It had been a while since Premesi had visited the temple and there was a matter that needed to be discussed with the monks before he returned to the southern region.*

A firmly placed palm upon the center of the oak surface of the tavern door pressed the ediface open to reveal the stature of a man dressed in a flowing, black robe spanning from his shoulders to his soles along the floor. Bundles of the cloth drape down his back in the form of a hood which had been displaced from his head to reveal a face wrapped with the same dark colored cloth around his eyes to conceal the useless occules beneath. Stubs of prickled folicles line around his jaw, and somewhat gleam in the dim lighting of the facility. A steady stroll placed Mintaboo at, then upon a stool located just in front of the bar. An overly developed sense of hearing brought light to the conversations of the patrons within the tavern. Though he could hear them as clearly as if he had seated just beside them, their audible conversation made very little sense to him. Tapping of a boney knuckle upon the bar surface drew Mintaboo's attention to the barkeep behind. "Any of you selection of spirits will do. I'm not all that particular." he stated in a quiet, hushed tone.

Lengthy fingers to grasp the base of the glass container filled just below the brim with the copper toned liquor. Swirling the liquid in a clockwise motion the nostrils of the shaman flare as they take in the the intoxicating scent before placing the rim to his lips and partaking in a small portion. A delighted grin spread across the weary face of the traveler as his gullet motioned in a swallowing manner. "I must say, these spirits are delightful." the compliment of the alcohol beckoned a small smile from the ever polite barkeep. Althought Mintaboo could not see the expression first hand, he somehow knew he had pleased the gracious man with his words of praise. "Why, if I were to become acustomed to brandy of this quality, I may find myself an alcoholic yet." the flattery continued as he consumed another portion from the glass grail. Whispers and dialogue continue to string into the ears of Mintaboo as he tried to make sense of it all. What were these things? These "marks"? They seemed to be ever popular among the patrons of the establishment. As he listened, Mintaboo tried his best to make sense of it all.

*Evan seen one of the men from earlier, which had left with the man that was heralding about Mark Hunts, enter the tavern… He noticed the man was carrying a large load of parchments under his left arm, as he was scanning the room… Evan’s curiosity grew as he watched the man from afar… Evan lost interest with the man when he then seen the man go to the bartender, so he began to walk toward the door… As he was headed to the door, he heard the overburdened man say his name… Evan stopped what he was doing and turned to the strange man, but by this time the man was leaving the tavern… Evan then ran to the bartender and began to question him…*

Excuse me, but did that man say something about Evan?

*The bartender looked at Evan blankly and responded…*

    Yes… Yes he did…

*Evan became anxious as he replied…*

    Well… What did he say?

*The bartender raised an eyebrow and asked with a dumb expression on his face…*

    Are you Evan?

*Evan’s eyes then glared at the bartender, as an irritated look grew upon his face when he answered…*

Yes I am… Now, What did he say?

*The bartender then replied with an overjoyed expression, because he felt like he completed a task for the day….*

Oh… Well, he said something about the Arcane Hall and how you need to be there…

*Evan then supported a confused look, as he thought to himself, “How does that guy know who I am and that I wanted a mark?” Evan then looked back at the bartender…*

    Thank you very much…

*Evan then headed for the door as he spoke to himself out loud…*

I guess I have a date with the white rabbit…

    *Evan then left the tavern…*
